MY Bharat Sets Guinness World Record as Nearly 4 Lakh Youth Complete Online Quiz in a Week
India’s youth have once again demonstrated their collective strength and enthusiasm on a global stage. Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the flagship youth engagement platform of the Department of Youth Affairs, has officially entered the Guinness World Records by achieving the highest participation in an online quiz within one week.The record was set through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz, which witnessed an extraordinary response from young people across the country. A total of 390,812 participants successfully completed the full-length quiz during the official assessment period, earning the title for the “Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week.”The achievement marks a significant milestone in India's efforts to engage its youth in nation-building and civic participation through digital platforms.A Proud Moment in New DelhiThe Guinness World Records certificate was presented during a special ceremony at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi. The event was attended by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, senior government officials, and representatives from Guinness World Records.Congratulating the MY Bharat team, Dr. Mandaviya described the achievement as a reflection of the aspirations, energy, and active participation of India’s youth. He dedicated the honour to young Indians, stating that the recognition belonged to them and symbolised their commitment to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.From a Quiz to a National MovementThe Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue Quiz was designed to encourage awareness and participation among youth in India's journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. Conducted through the MY Bharat portal, the initiative generated remarkable nationwide engagement.More than 50.42 lakh young people from all 28 states and eight Union Territories participated in the quiz. During the official Guinness World Records assessment period between October 25 and October 31, 2025, over 8.39 lakh quiz participations were recorded.Following a rigorous verification process that included independent digital forensic audits and detailed validation of participation records, Guinness World Records confirmed 390,812 eligible participants, officially establishing the new world record.MY Bharat’s Growing ImpactLaunched as a platform to connect, empower, and engage India's youth, MY Bharat has rapidly evolved into one of the country’s largest youth participation networks. According to Dr. Mandaviya, the platform has recorded more than 2.19 crore registrations within just three years of its launch.The portal provides opportunities for young citizens to contribute ideas, volunteer for social causes, participate in public initiatives, and engage with policies that shape the nation’s future. Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil highlighted that MY Bharat has become a trusted platform for meaningful youth engagement through voluntary participation and community-driven programmes.
